Ray Canale Ray Canale

Comedian Ray Canale was raised in a close Italian family, the fifth of nine children. He was born in Watertown, N.Y. where his family operated a very popular Italian restaurant for many years and where he still resides.

Ray was bitten by the show biz bug soon after high school and went to Boston to start his comedy career. He worked in a variety of clubs and theatres and eventually performed throughout the United States and Canada.

During his forty-six years in show business he has toured many parts of the U.S. and Canada working with such stars as Tony Bennet, Engelbert Humperdink, The McGuire Sisters, Al Martino, Jerry Vale, and Eddie Fisher.

Ray describes his humor as "similar to Don Rickles" and has been referred to as an Italian-American Rodney Dangerfield.

Ray's ability to laugh at himself, as well as his laid-back personality and quick one-liners keep his audience asking for more.
