Martin Preston recreates the magic of Liberace in a spectacular full-length show, complete with candleabra, mirrored grand piano, and the incomparable illusion of "The World's Greatest Showman." Mr Preston is an actor and musician who has devoted the past ten years to recapturing the music and glamour of the late, great Liberace. A classically trained pianist, Martin will astound you with glorious musical memories, all performed live, of Liberace favourites including Malaguena, The 12th Street Rag, The Beer Barrel Polka, I'll Be Seeing You, and a breathtaking montage of Gershwin showstoppers. The numbers will be accompanied by one of America's top percussionists, and through the miracle of modern technology, the lush sounds of a full 22 piece orchestra! And the costumes!! You will witness five of the most spectacular, eye-popping, glittering creations ever to appear anywhere, all duplicates of original Liberace designs. His opening costume (known as the Neptune) has over a quarter of a million hand-sewn rhinestones, sequins, and beads, not to mention two thousand fresh water pearls. And that's not all - in addition to four other equally elaborate costumes, he also sports a full-length white virgin fox fur festooned with over two dozen foxtails (faux, of course, for today's politically correct generation), all of the sparkling rings and jewelry, and a marvelous feathered cape that shines with 150 electric lights! Said TV's Tom Snyder upon viewing Preston for the first time, "Incredible!" On stage he will be joined by William Garon, the handsome Broadway song stylist, who will delight you with great standards including dazzling selections from The Phantom of the Opera. Garon, in addition to performing with Liberace for the past several years, has been seen throughout the United States and Canada starring in some of Broadway's best musicals including recent revivals of Milk and Honey and My Fair Lady and has toured extensively in Europe and the Far East. Martin Preston has appeared in Liberace in Las Vegas and Atlantic City, in many of the nation's finest showrooms, and throughout the world on the Holland America, Cunard, and Princess Cruise Lines. He has also headlined the prestigious "Legends in Concert", most recently at the Grand Palace Theatre in Branson, MO. In addition to performing at several gala celebrations at the famed Liberace Museum in Las Vegas, Preston was the recipient of the grand prize in the 1998 Liberace Piano Competition, professional division.
