Judy Garland & Liza Minelli, well known since the days of the "Wizard of Oz" and "Cabaret," are certainly the most famous mother and daughter entertainers the world of show business has ever seen. You can watch their immense talent one more time in "Together Again, Judy & Liza." Julie Sheppard and Suzanne Goulet bring back to life Judy and Liza on stage in "Together Again". Their portaryal of the two legends was reviewed as "Outstanding" for the "Uncanny vocal likeness" and "Incredible looks". Both performers were also described as "Show stoppers" and experienced great success with their own individual shows. They now put their talent together and share the stage so you can re-live the mother and daughter team, Judy and Liza, performing together. The show starts with some clips of the 1963 television series "The Judy Garland Show" projected on a big screen. At the same time, Julie and Suzanne match the singing and dancing of the real stars in front of these clips. Then comes "How it all began", the part of the show where "Judy" and "Liza" perform the songs that propelled them to stardom. They follow this with reenacting some moments of the concert that Judy and Liza performed together at the London Palladium. As she is renown for, "Judy" makes the audience weep with her torch songs before "Liza" struts her stuff. They end up singing a medley together of Judy & Liza's greatest hits. The show features a number of the old classic congs and adds a modern twist with "Liza" singing a dance beat/disco song. Throughout the show, especially in the "up tempo" songs, two talented male dancers join our stars to perform at a high level of energy. Naturally "Judy" and "Liza" sing their signature songs "Over The Rainbow" and "New York, New York" but just before that, they sure have fun clowning around dressed in tramp costumes in "Be A Clown". They close the show with a powerful duet of "Don't Rain On My Parade" and do their encore with a very appropriate song: "Together". This show is not the usual tribute show - it's much more. Not only does it recreate the looks and sounds as well as the high-energy dance steps of the two Legends, but it also transmits the love they had for each other and for what they loved to do best. It's rare that audience members admit having been moved to tears.
